Guidelines to a Successful Dialog
Updated: Oct 20, 2020
Welcome to our BLOG! Thank you for coming and we hope you provide us with relevant input/feedback so that we, and others, can learn from each other. Various perspectives are needed and seemingly rare in today's crazy political environment. Let's be part of the solution, not part of the problem. If you enjoy this BLOG and feel it's worth spending time with, please tell your friends.
Caveat to this post and all posts henceforth: The news media only tells us what they want us to see, hear and/or believe. The issues brought-up in this venue will include timeless topics (e.g. leadership), address current issues (in the news), and our viewpoint on each. Our goal is to start a dialog on these issues. They can be for, against or some alternate view. All viewpoints will be accepted and encouraged (except foolishness, hatefulness, or any other divisiveness). Ignorance is allowed if it is truly ignorance and not maliciousness. If you want to instigate hate and discontent, we'd like to invite you to join a different social media site where you can vent until they ban you. We will ban any/all hateful people, in a heartbeat.
We want this space for intelligent discussions of current events and issues of importance, and to see if we can come up with plans to fix each one (healthcare, education, race relations, etc.). You’ll most likely see that Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, Independents, etc. usually have many goals in common, just different ways of accomplishing them. Let’s figure out a way to fix them. We can then propose the most promising solutions to our lawmakers to try and affect the outcome.
Similar to the Golden Rule, do not post anything anywhere that you wouldn’t want anyone to say to you or that you would say out loud, in person, to your mother or grandmother. If your speech is hateful/divisive, you’ll be blocked. End of story.
We look forward to exchanging ideas with you and, hopefully, help make the world a better place. Let us know what you think.
